Wilburt Comic-short

The Wilburt cover

Wilburt is a short comic, spanning only 7 pages and mosty following a 6 panel per page grid.

With this comic I wanted to show how we grow attached to fictional things, such as TV-Characters, places in books in stories and so on. Usually only their weaknesses and shortcommings combined with their strenghts make them likeable and in the case of characters: relateable.

A nearly all-knowing narrator guides through the story only to fall victim to this principle at the end. The narrator came to like Wilburt, even though he introduces him as boring.

But also Wilburt himself creates fictional worlds that let him enjoy his tame day-to-day life more.
